'Oley' Cuff

Designer's note

"Nothing is ordinary. If you take an interest in them, stove tops, utensil racks and steaming plates will talk to you. For 'Oley', I specifically borrowed visual elements from drip pans and idli (South Indian dumplings made of rice and lentils) plates. One end extends over the other, and thus, a single cuff has a stacked appearance when it wraps around the wearer's arm. This handsome cuff was perfected over several trials at the workshop. It fits at the wrist or forearm depending on the wearer's size. Its smooth reflective surface catches light beautifully and draws attention to its interesting form. It is essentialist in its approach to design, making it an understated but intriguing piece for lovers of industrial jewellery. Suitable for social gatherings, and casual outings."

Maintaining your cuff

Do not allow the jewellery to come in contact with any liquids or moisture. Silver will naturally and beautifully tarnish with time. Storing your jewellery in a clean air-tight zip lock bag is an effective way of delaying this - if you'd like to maintain a tarnish-free look. Excess tarnish on silver maybe removed with an anti-tarnish cloth or with white toothpaste.
