Designer's note
"The Indian kitchen is a visual playground for someone like me who loves patterns and graphics. These earrings are one among many instances within this collection of superimposing complementing patterns. They are reminiscent of the process of making murukku (fried South Indian snack). Specifically, it references the journey of the flour and dough through the sieve and mould before transforming into a consummate murukku. I designed 'Thindi' to be supersize and dramatic, yet essentialist, and very light in weight. The earrings express a fondness for familiar functional objects. So while they are a visual treat, they are also quietly reflective. A perfect adornment for adding a bold graphical element to your attire at social gatherings and special occasions."
